Mohel ( Ibrani : מוֹהֵל [moˈhel] , pengucapan [ˈmɔɪ.əl] , jamak: מוֹהֲלִים mohalim [mo.haˈlim] , bahasa Aram : מוֹהֲלָא mohala , "tukang sunat") adalah orang Yahudi yang dilatih untuk melangsungkan brit milah , "upacara penyunatan ."

Kata mohel ( mohala dalam bahasa Arab ) yang artinya "tukang sunat", berasal dari kata yang sama dengan milah "penyunatan." [ 1 ] Kata tersebut mula-mula muncul pada abad keempat sebagai sebutan dari tukang sunat (Shabbat 156a). [ 2 ]
